#OnTheRoadToAAD (6 Days to go)

Why should you attend the #AgroAfricaDialogue?

The #AgroAfricaDialogue will be led by President of the African Development Bank Dr Akinwumi Adesina. Dr Adesina needs no introduction.  For decades, TripleA as he is fondly called by people who have worked closely with him, championed the course of farmers all over Africa. He left firm imprints of dedicated and meritorious service in both Anglophone and francophone West Africa and indeed the rest of sub-Saharan Africa.

In Nigeria, where he served as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,  he earned the nickname “The Farmer’s Minister”  for ending over four decades of corruption and opacity in fertilizer distribution using e-wallet system. With this technology he was able facilitate equitable distribution of fertilizer and other inputs to 14 million farmers across the country. Today, the e-wallet system has been exported to other parts of Africa and their farmers are benefiting from the transparency it fosters.

Dr Adesina  has gone ahead to do great things in Africa and as President of the African Development Bank he is pushing the High 5’s as a strategy to end hunger in Africa. The priority areas are Power  and Light Up Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa and Improve the Quality of Life  for the People of Africa. The 2017 World Food Prize Laureate will be delivering the Keynote Address at the AgroAfrica Dialogue where he would expound on his Feed Arica strategy and expatiate on how the private sector can plug into this movement to curb hunger in Africa.

The Lion of African Agriculture will thereafter host a Q&A session in his capacity as Africa’s number one banker and ambassador for agriculture.

Join us at The Ruan Laureates Room, 100 Locust Street, Des Moines IA on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 9am to 12 noon to be part of this convocation. Register @ https://www.agroafricamagazine.com/register/
