Owing to the recent downpour of rain in the country, the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), Adamawa Chapter has said about 5,000 of their farmers have been affected by flood.
The chairman of the association, Stephen Maduwa revealed this during an interview with newsmen in Yola.
In his words, “Reports reaching us from our various local government area offices, especially those along the bank of River Benue, revealed that flood had submerged some farmlands.
“We received reports from 18 out of 21 local government areas, excluding Jada, Ganye and Toungo.” He added
