Nigeria’s leading Agro-allied and fertilizer company Notore Chemical Industries Plc has been listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The listing was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer, Onajite Okoloko after presentation on the floor of the Stock Exchange in Abuja.
Notore which produce Urea fertilizer and provide hybrid seeds to farmers across the country listed N1.61 billion ordinary shares of N0.50 each at N62.50 per share on the stock market which amounts to market capitalisation of N100.63 billion.
Okoloko while responding to questions after the listing said “Notore is all about taking fertilizer, education, quality input and hybrid seeds to the farmer which will led to high yield all across the country.”
“The company produces 1.5 to 2 million metric tonnes of fertilizer though the country requires at least 10 million metric tonnes.” He added
The listing is the first of any company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange this year.
