The Chinese government has begun training of 100 Nigerian officials on agricultural strategies.
The training, aimed at improving productivity in Nigeria’s three widely-cultivated crops; rice, maize and sorghum, is jointly organized by Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, China and CGCOC Agricultural Development Co. Ltd.
The Deputy Managing Director of CGCOC, Mr Wang Jun, who spoke at the inauguration, said that the training focuses on cultivation strategies, breeding and seed production techniques.
The trainees were drawn from federal and state ministries, department and agencies and Nigerian agribusinesses.
