The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) have said that they have drawn plans to put an end to the incessant farmers-herdsmen crises in the affected states of the country.
The National President of AFAN, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim revealed this to journalists at the end of a meeting between the two groups in Abuja.
The president disclosed that the two associations had decided to find out perpetrators of the act and handed them over to security personnel, adding they aimed to revive the peace that had always existed between farmers and herdsmen.
“We have also promised to expose people who disguise themselves as farmers to perpetrate killings”. He said.
Ibrahim stated that AFAN had accepted the Federal Government’s decision to establish cattle ranches for herders, but advised the government to carry the herders along.
